Several of the actions we mentioned show the effects social media can have on risk communication. Are older people more panicky or unfamiliar with the internet because they say they know less about what cookies are, for example? Or are older people actually very sensible by exercising some caution and should we all do this?

What are seniors doing online?
As just described, we see a big increase in the use of the internet among the elderly. Not only is there a  senegal phone number library growth in the use of different devices, social networks and chat programs. It is also clear that the elderly are increasingly using the internet for daily activities.

For example, in the study we asked how seniors integrate the internet into their daily lives. And this led to surprising results. How many seniors shop online, do their banking, listen to music online or even stream videos or films?

About What’s happening online 2015
The target group of this research consists of Dutch people who use the internet. From 5 June 2015 to 16 June 2015, search engine optimization united states america 1,359 Dutch people aged 18 and over completed the online questionnaire. Of these, 280 are 65 and over.
