Ironic counter-movement

NPO is going to put the public content already paid for by the Dutch behind three paywalls (NPO Plus, NL Ziet and another new one) and centralize it completely. They are going to make limited selections from the large amount of content that is available. I don’t want a few people to decide what I may not see, that doesn’t seem desirable to me. Politicians are not allowed to do that, let alone managers appointed by politicians.

Why can’t content be on NPO.nl as well as

A wherever the broadcasters want? New platforms are quickly being added, where the content should the importance of combining specific  be able to go. You can’t keep up with that with a billion-dollar budget if you want to match all platforms in terms of technology, reach and user interface. The NPO is going to compete with Netflix, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (they deny this themselves, but it does amount to something if you put a platform next to it).Ironic counter

Content wins, not big brands, especially online. Brands and advertising agencies are starting to realize this and are constantly looking for new ways to reach target groups. A teenager with a banjo can generate more hits than a brand with a budget of millions. If you create good content (and distribute it well!) people will come automatically. Public broadcasters are the best at creating good content.

The advertising world is now moving

A into content marketing and seeking out the consumer in their natural online habitat. In the case of  burkina faso business directory quality content, everyone wants that. Ironically, advertising does well what no one wants (being everywhere), and the NPO is not going to do what everyone wants: people want content. And what should you strictly avoid when nurturing leads?  if you don’t put it everywhere and for free (decentralized), you won’t be found and you’ll quickly become irrelevant.
